My name is Deborah Wright and I write fantasy and mystery. My stories run the gamut from cozy mysteries that take place in the contemporary world to stories with a Steampunk setting.
Before becoming a writer, I followed my inner geek to a degree in Computer Science and a career in Silicon Valley. After years in the fast-paced world of high tech, my husband and I left San Jose behind for the tranquil Willamette Valley of Oregon. While we miss the San Francisco Bay Area, we consider ourselves lucky to live just over the hill from one of Oregon’s premiere wine regions.
I started pursuing writing as a second career, and have been hard at work honing my craft. My gaslamp fantasy novel, The Lazarus Gambit, was a finalist in Romance Writers of America’s® 2012 Golden Heart® competition for unpublished writers, in the category Novel With Strong Romantic Elements.
